Quote from: QuarkSoup on January 03, 2023, 09:19:53 AM"the whole process is painful anyways" I'm at 3.9cm and wouldn't say so. I'd say average pain is like 2/10 I'd give bench pressing 5/10. I don't take painkillers. But I am still flexible and haven't experienced any complications. 2/10 becomes 5/10 when doing PT and it was 8/10 when I was trying to bend my knees in the first week

It's different for everyone. For me, during some moments In physiotherapy pain can go to a 9/10, where I start sweating and begging. When resting it's like a 3/10. When walking it's a 4/10.

It seems like LL on hard mode thats for sure.  No disrespect to anyone who has done it or will do it but I personally would never sign up for it.  I cant imagine having scaffolding pinned to my legs and being immobile.  Also the scars are going to be way worse.

I'd say it helps being somewhat naive going into LON femurs lol, as once you wake up after surgery there's no way back  How Painful is the LON Method?
But yeah, only scars that bother me are the proximal pin site ones.
However, surgeon has told me that he can essentially cut them out and make them appear much better once I go back to remove the internal rods after full consolidation.

Lmfao, "theres no way out" doesnt seem like my cup of tea but at least you're done.  Yeah it seems revision surgery is basically a necessity with LON.  Otherwise you're going to have these deep pits.

Quote from: Medium Drink Of Water on December 30, 2022, 07:17:46 PMDid you get an infection?  I had my frames on for 4.5 months, in a hospital that was not up to 1st world cleanliness standards.  Zero infections.  Some risks you can't control but I think how you take care of yourself can make a big difference.

I'm planning to do pure TSF externals and it can take up to 9 months. Could you please explain how did you manage that timeframe while you are on the frames? How was exactly your routine? Were you showering?

Thank you

For me the pain was never more than a 5. But then again I wanted this more than anything in the world.

Quote from: Kanye Western on December 19, 2022, 09:34:08 PMThe whole process is painful anyways whether it be internal or external, but how bad really is the LON method?

Is the pain the same to internal, but internals are just more comfortable in regards to living a somewhat normal life during lengthening hence why people prefer it more?

Even if it's painless, you won't be able to. It takes courage  How Painful is the LON Method?

Quote from: LONFemurs2021 on January 03, 2023, 05:43:59 AMIt's pretty brutal, oral voltaren does wonders though.
oral voltaren in combination with tramadol before bed makes nights manageable.
But yeah, when you're not coveredby pain killers, it's brutal.
(speaking from LON femurs experience).
Worst was when I approached 5cm and the proximal pin sites started to bend, felt like stabbing knives when pain killers ran out.

voltaren is an nsaid, youre not supposed to take this every doctor knows this, but in turkiye they use you guys for experiments and research purposes
