Father: 1.7m (5' 7'') (from his driver's license when he was 21), now 1.65m (5' 5'') (he is 46)
Mother: 1.55m (5' 2'')
Sister: 1.60m (5' 3'')
Youngest sister: 1.65m (5' 5'')

It really feels bad when your baby sis is taller than you.

Does your father have a condition on his back?

I don't understand how are people's parents losing so many centimeters over their lifetimes in this thread. My father lost 1.5cm at most, if that.

I think its about mentality even known from my taller friends some of them got 185 some 180 and they are equal. After if it will be visible for someone you can blame that on posture How tall are you, parents, siblings?

My father had a sedentary lifestyle, is an alcoholic, chain smoker, drug user, and obese. It's natural for someone to shrink a few centimeters over several decades, but I think these are also factors.

It's also fully possible that he was only like 1,68 m in his younger days and they just put 1,70 on his driver's license for whatever reason.

Not my family, obviously, but I felt it'd be interesting to post the stats here.

From Margo Dydek's (born in the 70s, in Poland) family:

Father: 201cm, 6'7 - Former Basketball player.
Mother: 191cm, 6'3 - Former Volleyball player.

Margo: 218cm, 7'2

Older sister: 201cm, 6'7
Youngest sister: 198cm, 6'6

This is a family of obviously exceptional genetics for height, but the two other sisters were no taller than their father, even despite the mother's height being more standard deviations above the norm than her father's.

Me: 171 cm - 170 cm morning height > 169-168 cm night height

Father: 171 cm so so
Mother: 166cm
Sister:162 cm
Half sister: 164 cm

Grandfather: 161cm
Grandmother: 160cm
Grandmother 2: 158 cm

Cousin of mother family: I am the third taller of 6 cousins.
Cousins of father family: I am smaller of 5 cousins.

Personally i think that with the height of my mother i should be taller. I am 21 years old now, but at the 12 years i used to take drugs. Then that could affect my growth, but i always was little in my classroom
