Height is not all, there are other things like intelligence . Think that the good thing is that height can be fixed, dont live a miserable life.If you really feel that bad, you have two options: overcome height neurosis going to a psychologist or save  your money and run to a good surgeon .

Quote from: DreamOf180cm on December 17, 2016, 12:27:14 PMI'm 5"7 1/2 (171.5cm). The title pretty much explains it. I would feel like a man if I was like 177-180cm but 171 just doesn't do it.  I feel like a "boy".. Anyone else feel this way?

first of all i want you to re-measured yourself at night, that height we count. Secondly its your mental issue, try to gain money, friends and long term vision, then its will be less painful for you, if you will attempt this surgery after 2 years, there is no reason to be sad for 2 years, make sure that you will be taller because this surgery exist. Smile and enjoy your life, Good luck.

Ok I measured myself at night and morning. Morning height = 172cm || Night height = 171cm.

I'm thinking of doing external tibias for 5cm. MAX 6cm and I'll only push from 5 to 6 if doctor gives me the green light, if not I will be more than happy with the 5cm.

That would be quite tempting I'm not going to lie, however from what I've read on several diaries the "safer"  number for tibias  is 5cm and after 5cm is where the problems start. Now I'm not going to get greedy (I would be happy with 5cm and VERY happy with 6cm) , but say the doctor gave me green light to go for 7cm and I'm at 6cm, I would really have to evaluate my situation. I would like to say I would stop at 6cm even if I got a green light to go for 7cm as being 177cm would make a VERY happy man and I wouldn't want to risk for another cm. Then again, in the heat of the moment things can change.

7 cm would make you 178 if I calculated correctly.

Yes correct. 177 would mean the world to me. That's the number I want to hit and put everything behind and move on with life. As for wanting to be 180 (my username), after reading a lot, I figured that 9cm in 1 surgery would be too much, so I won't risk doing 9cm. At 177
I'll slap on some airmax's and say I'm 180 I don't feel like a "man" because of my height. I feel like a "boy".
