Say you are USA citizen and you pay for LL with Giotikas in Greece

Some people said that for sums like 60k$ USD that you should use a lawyer, but should you? Won't that just cost more? What bad stuff will happen if you don't use a lawyer?

Or should you use ACH transfer, wire, or transferwise? I don't really understand how to pay money with these sums, I only pay for grocery stuff with credit card/debit card

Every cosmetic surgery has risk, more or less. There is no need to hire a lawyer unless there is money argument.

I don't see how a lawyer would be helpful. He will charge you and then execute a simple bank transfer, as that is what it will ultimately be.

I recommend Transferwise because they have good exchange rates, often better than at big banks. It saved me £1000/$1400 in fees. You may have to transfer the money in chunks because your bank may have an upper limit on outgoing transfers. I paid two times 25000€ and then another 3600€.

It's also advisable to transfer the money well in advance. Definitely don't leave it until the last day before surgery. I know some who did and he ended up being unable to pay Betz on time. This is because a bank may block a big money transfer for precisely the reason you mentioned - it's an unusual transaction for someone who only pays for groceries If from USA, do you need a lawyer/pay taxes on LL?

Some banks would do it if it's a big money transfer, other banks would let it happen.

Their traveler's checks are very different from the card in terms of who will take them.  No way would the Beijing Institute have accepted a credit card of any kind, for example.

How many months beforehand and in how many transferwise payments would you split the payment to Dr. Giotikas for internal Gnail femurs?

I'm trying to figure out the timeline and how much time to leave in between actions
