Your opinion is disastrous; at 20, I'm not done growing. Many young people are in the same situation. The ideal age, in my opinion, is the late twenties to early thirties (28-32 years) and yes, I am athletic.

After age 25 if you're 5'5 and over. I would recommend earlier only if you're very short like 4' something or 5'2 because I don't think even a growth spurt after age 20 is going to do much at that starting height.

under 20 is best. Less chance of fat embolism, fast bone growth etc.

Any age between 25 and 35 is the best age in my opinion.

Why? because bones will not naturally grow any further

and patients between 25 and 35, on average, will have their bones

consolidate faster than those of patient over 35.

The real reason is that at age 35, you have at least lived enough in case something goes wrong whereas at 20, you'd be risking your entire youth.

Of course you are done growing in height.

The best age is 20-23. The younger you are the more years you have to live with your new height. Especially when you are young where looks matter the most.

I did LL at my 23 and if I didn't want to finish university first I would have done it at my 20.
After 40 LL still worths but you lost many good years with a bad height that won't come back.

As soon as possible as long as your growth plates are actually closed, it's better the younger you are, which is usually in your early 20s.

For two reasons: better recovery and you can still get away with telling people you actually grew.

There are people who grew well into their 20s, not more than 22~23 though, maybe 25 is the max, but that's a stretch. I know a couple of relatives who has grown in their early 20s. So you can still tell people, especially if you spent a couple of years not seeing people you know, that you still grew in your early 20s.

I agree immediately after the growth plates are closed around 20 possibly earlier. At that age your bodies recovery abilities are close to their peak and you have the most time to enjoy your new height versus doing it at older ages. Though rare, fat embolism appear to be most common in the younger ages though.

I think it's best to be honest about getting LL and being proud you did it though.

Till 50 IMO. You can still benefit from increased height untill your late 50s / early 60s if you take care of your health and looks. Your QoL will improve in that case in terms of dating / hooking up but won't change a thing if you look like a grandpa at that age. The only thing that will change in that case is male respect from added height but that's it.
