He was dumped by his ex cuz of another 183cm tall guy and he is only 167cm barefoot at night.

Since then he has been insanely obsessed with height and digging out local,munipal and national average height data all the time.
Like,I'm not calling for eyesights,he is spending 8-10 hrs on 'proofreading' and 'collecting' certain height data online only to tell himself ' People are not that tall and after LL he can change his life entirely'.

I'm wondering if he is being self-destructive and what he keeps doing is his mental revenge to this world's mistreatments onto him.

But he has actually acquainted what LL is and he is planning on this surgery like me,with only 163 wingspan though.

You can advise him to wear thicker shoes, that would make him almost 172cm.

Actually he is wearing them but he found them still unsatisfactory and he is still planning on LL.

Chinese national average is over 172cm for young adults, so he is definitely short regardless of where he is in China. He would be exceptionally short in Beijing and Shanghai where young men average 177cm.

He needs LL. Even after 8cm, he will be 175cm, which is still not tall in the big cities, but at least it won't hurt him too much in the dating market.

Unfortunately he is indeed an indigenous Shanghaiese and has a 14 y.o 168cm barefoot cousin to be compared with,whose parental height is the same as his,although Shanghai youngster average height is only 174.8cm barefoot.
I've ever run into two more pathetic anecdotes that a millenial 158cm tall Beijingese was being suicidal and I dunno how he was like these days,and a millenial 156cm tall Shandongese was trapped in a subsequence of failures in life.

Unfortunately the 175cm includes older men who have shrunk or otherwise did not have the nutrition of the younger generation. You need to add 2cm on top of any averages to reflect your real competition (20-30 year olds who are active in the dating market).

No,I was by accident intrigued with Shanghai youngster average height and 174.8 is just youngsters' average height and there is no necessities to tarnish the average height and the tallest city Dalian average height is not even that handsome,176.7 I'm glad to tell you.I looked into Shanghai Municipal Medical Reports for several times,and if counting the middle-aged and old men into the samples,171.8cm barefoot and I'm not making jokes.

Sorry I am a little bit confused here. In order to get the actual average height of men between 20 to 30, an additional 2cm must be added to the average height collected from the data. So, say, the average height for Chinese nowadays is 175, then 177 is the average height of the youth. Am I correct? Because the data also collected the older generation, who are shorter.

You're lucky to see my last post about revealing Lancet's stupidity and imbecile concerning false data from quotations and estimations.
Also,lately Chinese Planning Commission of science and Research Fund has published a nearly 1cm growth but at best between 95s and 00s youngsters' average heights,but due to height measuring scrunity institute shortages and demographic volatilities,this growth was absolutely falsely exaggerated cuz there are no chances that 00s citizens are tremendously taller than 95s citizens(from analysis of data growth,such excellent growth was not contributed by solely villagers) and I think it's not necessary at all to explain this common sense.
I dare even reckon that,essentially,Lancet's mistake was a British-Iranian 'scholar''s weaved plot and ideologies & philosophies spread out from it are poisoning and devastating people especially with height dysphorias but these are all my reasoning so it's not entirely plausible and expensive.
Also,many indigenous scholars from other countries apart from the England were participating in this estimation so there are only chances that national average heights were only exggerated and filtered for ulterior motions.Some insanly tall countries couldn't dispatch scholars into the Lancet due to indigences so the average height rank of both males and females was fked up.
