Hello, brave LLers.

I'm not good at English, so I'm sorry if it is difficult for you to understand my English.

I underwent left tibia lengthening surgery yesterday in Japan.

This was the first PRECICE2 surgery in Japan !

I will lengthen the legs while working, so I underwent a surgery of only left tibia first.

After several months I will be operated on right side.

It is about 12 hours after surgery. It is AM 6 o'clock now in Japan time. Immediately after surgery, the pain was strong, but fentanyl patch was prescribed, now the pain is slight, about 2/10 on the Pain scale.

I have heard that lengthening wil start 1-2 weeks later.

There is little information about the precice nail in Japan, and I want to borrow your help if questions come up in the future. I will study English. Thank you.

Did doc recommended precice for Internal tibial lengthening or was only your choice?

How much will you have to pay for the whole surgery? Or yet what did they charge you for doing one leg at a time? I am just curious as I imagine Japan's living expenses are very high, for the majority, it is not cost effective nor wise to double the cost and time to heal. Also it is a very serious surgery, I don't know if you will be able to work as planned when you will be mentally and physically exhausted from the whole process and even during recovery. Then you will have to go back and do it all over again.

PRECICE was my strong request.
In Japan, there was only ISKD as an internal-type in the past.
I worried about iskd's “run away nail” problem.
For this reason I requested the doctor to import the precise.

Since the price of both legs is over 100,000 dollars, I can not recommend it except for those who live in Japan.
I know the person who lengthened the leg while working in Japan. I think that it would be possible to do desk work.
I would like to progress this journey somehow.
