Hello, brave LLers.
I'm not good at English, so I'm sorry if it is difficult for you to understand my English.
I underwent left tibia lengthening surgery yesterday in Japan.
This was the first PRECICE2 surgery in Japan !
I will lengthen the legs while working, so I underwent a surgery of only left tibia first.
After several months I will be operated on right side.
It is about 12 hours after surgery. It is AM 6 o'clock now in Japan time. Immediately after surgery, the pain was strong, but fentanyl patch was prescribed, now the pain is slight, about 2/10 on the Pain scale.
I have heard that lengthening wil start 1-2 weeks later.
There is little information about the precice nail in Japan, and I want to borrow your help if questions come up in the future. I will study English. Thank you.

Internal tibias - Dr Ito - 2017 - first PRECICE2 case in Japan
Quote from: onemorefoot on December 17, 2017, 09:39:06 PMDid doc recommended precice for Internal tibial lengthening or was only your choice?
PRECICE was my strong request.
In Japan, there was only ISKD as an internal-type in the past.
I worried about iskd's “run away nail” problem.
For this reason I requested the doctor to import the precise.
Quote from: cobalt on December 17, 2017, 09:47:08 PMHow much will you have to pay for the whole surgery? Or yet what did they charge you for doing one leg at a time? I am just curious as I imagine Japan's living expenses are very high, for the majority, it is not cost effective nor wise to double the cost and time to heal. Also it is a very serious surgery, I don't know if you will be able to work as planned when you will be mentally and physically exhausted from the whole process and even during recovery. Then you will have to go back and do it all over again.
Since the price of both legs is over 100,000 dollars, I can not recommend it except for those who live in Japan.
I know the person who lengthened the leg while working in Japan. I think that it would be possible to do desk work.
I would like to progress this journey somehow.
Quote from: myloginacct on December 17, 2017, 10:37:06 PMThank you for sharing your experience here.
I wish you the best of luck with your lengthening. Very interesting to have someone from Japan and doing Precice.
Thank you for your encouragement!

You are welcome. Thank you!
POD1 16:00
I have post-dural puncture headache from today’s afternoon.
I have a headache at sitting or standing, so I can not practice walking enough.
I took caffeine and acetaminophen. And I am resting now.
My left leg do not hurt so much at rest, but it hurts when moved.
I have appetite, no need for drip, but I am worried how long this headache will last.
hi, InferiorityComplex!
your treatment is called blood patch therapy.
It is most effective thearapy for post dural puncture headache.
Today POD 3 6:20, I received Brad Patch therapy. If this treatment is effective, I will be discharged from the hospital this evening.
The leg pain is 2/10(resting), 4/10(moving).
The painkiller is a fentanyl patch and Tramcet(Tramadol hydrochloride/Acetaminophen)4-6T/day.
Hello android!

If I'm in trouble with English I'd like to ask for your help.

Quote from: ketchum on December 20, 2017, 03:24:16 AMI didn't know Shirayuri started to use PRECICE though I also live in Japan. It's really interesting to see your experiences, keep it up mate!
Hello ketchum. unexpectedly here are many Japanese.
The precice nail is not listed in the clinic web at the present time. Probably if my progress goes well, it will also be listed in the treatment menu.
