My mum is 163, my dad is 173 and I am 175. My sister is 163 just like my mother. I think that genetics are very highly correlated.
Many height predictors in the internet take into account your parent's height as the only factor to be considered. Genetics is very important but there are exceptions.
btw I just so today in Wikipedia that Donald Trump is 1.88 , his wife is 1.82 and their son Eric Trump is 1.96. Their daughter Ivanka is 1.80...so in this case, strong genetic correlation
