I am saving up $20,000 to go to Russia and get it done in the winter of 2015.
Might even be a bit earlier depending on the money I save...

If anyone has information about price and recovery time please feel free to contribute I've made my mind to do LL next winter(Femur 5.5-7cm). Whose with me ?

Thanks in advance.

Quote from: tx1111 on October 05, 2014, 09:02:17 AMYou mean this upcoming winter? If so when, who are u using and will u get an apt or stay in hospital?

I am looking to go to the Illizarov center in the winter of 2015.
I don't mind staying at either of the places.

Quote from: GROWtalORdieTRYING1 on October 05, 2014, 04:23:43 PMmonorail LON external femur, has a contraction rate of 5%.

30% is for cages and not LON.

I agree 30% contracture rate is too high. and not worth the risk.

are they doing a proximal cut? (inserted at the hip)?

Is monorail LON much more expensive than regular cage ?

How much difference are we talking about here?
Also, are there more complications with externals ?
