The concept that limb lengthening (LL) can completely resolve your lack of height is untrue unless you originally had a severe disproportion, which is exceptionally rare. The optimal LL candidate possesses extended torso, clavicles, neck, skull, arms, hands, and feet, yet only has shortened legs. This specific combination of body proportions is extremely uncommon, resulting in most individuals becoming disproportionate following LL. While certain individuals may be more suitable for either single or quad LL procedures, hardly anyone will achieve proportional dimensions of a “tall” person. Even those who reach your ultimate height will still appear taller due to having a more harmonious body structure for their stature. Despite gaining 6 inches in height, there will persistently be a noticeable aspect of shortness about you. If you are unconcerned about these proportions and their significance, then you are encouraged to proceed. However, it is essential to acknowledge that you will not attain the conventional appearance of tallness through LL, and if this discrepancy is unacceptable to you, it is advisable to refrain from pursuing limb lengthening.
