I am Italian and I would like to undergo femoral lengthening (+8 cm). I am 174 cm tall. My priorities are safety and being able to walk as after surgery. From various research, I understand that the best methods for me are BetzBone at the Betz-Becker Center in Germany and the G-Nail by Giotikas in Greece (Precice does not allow immediate full weight-bearing on the lower limbs, offers less autonomy, involves more time in a wheelchair, and is also more expensive).

In your opinion, which is better for my case: BetzBone or G-Nail?

I would like to spend a maximum of €50–60k for the surgery, not more, including the costs of staying in the country.

I would also like to be closely followed from a physiotherapy perspective during the lengthening phase (or at least in the initial phase), as I do not like the idea of having to find a private physiotherapist on my own who specializes in limb lengthening, especially to prevent complications.

I know that Becker will soon open a center where patients can stay for three weeks, but after that wouldn’t I still need to continue physiotherapy?

I would also like to ask whether, in your opinion, it would be possible and safe with these techniques to return to the gym after 1–2 months, at least to train arms, chest, and back, excluding the legs, after a sufficiently safe recovery period.

Thank you for your advice!

I really doubt that precise max will be available that fast outside Palay and furthermore it would cost less then 100 k. Precise is the safest for Sure but too much time without being autonomous on a whellchair compared to mechanic nails. My operation is supposed to be as early as 2029 so plenty of time to see what happens meanwhile but I have read Precise Max has been waited for many years and expections have always been deluded. The problem with Pili is rehabilitation too not giving you the chance to be follower by anyone oppositr to Giotikas
