I knew one guy did 10 cm tibia with him, its very very risky idea. So lets say 10 cm is the highest and am sure he may do more if you insist which is wrong, Good luck.

Years ago, there were several patients who did excessive lengthening (much like they do now in Russia). By around 2009 or so, I remember reading that Mitkovic was recommending a 5-cm maximum. Perhaps he always had, but I gathered the impression that he was becoming more firm on the matter. Of course, there are many patients everywhere who continue to do what they want.

Only total idiots do 10cm.

Don't do more than 4,5-5cm in tibias.

They sign up for their own limb amputations  by trying to lengthen insane amounts especially tibia.

Would you say Mitkovic can be a bit of a sleazy doctor then? He will just do what you tell him, or does he have firm limits?

There's never been a reported case of amputation in the LL community? Correct me if I am wrong.

Can happen in the case of a severe infection due to frames. So it's limited almost exclusively to external methods. And even then.. doc really has to screw up for it to escalate to that point.
