I am or was planning my surgery with Dr. Becker, he is using unfortunately an electric saw to break the bone what is causing a lot of heat and preventing bone growth, is this true? I have read now also 2 diaries with non union cases on the Cyborg d chanel with nail swap and bone grafts injections to solve the problem so a second surgery after a year and one with even 1.5years. Has anyone have or heard about similar issues. Is an electric saw a reason to avoid the surgeon?

I think there are several reasons to dodge Dr.Becker-- this electric saw bit seems smaller compared to the others. Like, his background is cosmetic surgery, not orthopedic or trauma. And his nail is unable to contract, which is kind of huge. Plus no band release.

I do think the majority of people who choose him because of weight-bearing nail are being penny-wise, pound foolish. If someone needs to weight-bear and return home ASAP because they have familial obligations, then I could understand it a touch more. But only a touch.

On his website it says he is a Specialist in plastic, aesthetic and reconstructive surgery
and Specialist in orthopedics and trauma surgery so he is both but might have just have limited experience to others - he said he does band release since 1 or 1.5 years but the electric saw he is unfortunately  still using

If I remember correctly, Becker was doing hair transplants at one point before Dr. Betz took him under his wing. Not that there's anything wrong with that, but I think you would prefer a surgeon who has specialized and done the same thing for many, many years instead of a surgeon who has done many different things for some amount of years.
