For most people 5'9 is like a short height and 5'11 starts to be a tall height, so according to them their is no average height ?
That's also why every celebrities who are 5'9 or 5'10 pretends to be 5'11 or 6' ?

Even for a lot of people a height like 5'8 starts to be "very short", it's true if a football player like Valbuena is 5'6 it's a normal feeling
but, don't his a feeling given by all this all this celebrities ?

I guess you could put it like anything shorter than average is short and anything taller than average is tall.

But really most people would consider 5'9 to 5'11 the objectively average range. 5'10 is the solid middle ground.

5'8 and 6'0 are the grey areas imo- i've never been able to establish whether I'm short or average.

It's not much of gap since with small lifts and nice heel shoes a 5 9 guy can reach 5 11.

i think when your in the 5'0s every inch counts like when 5'8 mayweather teased 5'6 manny pacquiao about his height. you would'nt see a 6'2 guy teasing a 6'0 guy because both are considered normal.
