This is serious surgery
It's important to prioritize your safety and well-being when considering any surgery, especially abroad. Make sure to thoroughly research the medical facility, the surgeons, and any potential risks involved. If you have concerns about safety. I would not risk it.

I did my surgery in Vietnam on April 19, 2025. The facility is amazing. You just need to find a fully capable doctor experienced in limb lengthening. Hanoi has a few known reputable doctors, including Dr. Nguyen Van Luong (who performed my surgery), Dr. Doan, Dr. Son, and Dr. Trinh. I spent $21,000 for six months because i did it all on my own: accommodation, transportation, physiotherapy, surgery, food, and caregiver. I didn't take their package. Also, it helps if you speak the language because most doctors and nurses in Vietnam, especially in Hanoi, do not speak English. They only offer illizarov or LON. I chose Ilizarov because, based on my research, it has a 95% success rate and it also fixes bow legs. Lastly, the doctors usually perform this surgery in a private hospital like Bac Ha International Hospital because of better facilities and equipment. 108 Military Hospital is a public hospital. They will not perform limb lengthing to foreigners unless you have an accident or were born with leg defects.

If you plan to do this surgery, be mentally and physically ready to lose sleep, weight, muscles, appetite, potentially complications during the lengthening process and infections.

You had surgery with Dr. Luong — do you have a profile or more details about him?
