Procedure After Surgery (LON)

How procedure continues after surgery if we don't take accommodation package? Do I find myself a new doctor to continue the process (xrays, consolidation, infections etc.)? Do they teach me physiotherapy moves, dressing changes etc. How can I understand if I have an infections? Can random orthopedist from my city help me with my infections? It would help me so much if somebody answer my questions who had surgery overseas and returned their home.

And also do I have to pick accommodation package my doctor would be in 1 hour drive? I mean do I have to stay with my doctor and his team 7/24? Also is it logical to have this surgery with a surgeon who mostly operated on curing deformities (such as one leg being shorter than other leg) but operated less cosmeticaly?

First of all if you can afford it go with an precice nail for femurs. It's much safer and more comfortable. And yes not choosing the accomdation part makes zero sense unless you know someone personal in the country or live close by, since it still the same doctor that check up on you. Problem is, a random orthopedist wont know anything about this type of surgery. It must be a doc that already has some experience with there surgeries. On top of that, should some complications arise, no doctor but yours will be willing to interfere with your case. And for that, most of the surgeons require a patient to keep in touch with them, at the very least to have a weekly follow ups. You cant just show up one day with a serious untreated problem due to previous LL surgery.

i think u need to know ur location. its like going to the emergency room and after ur surgery ur left by yourself. no doctors to talk to about pt. ur parents will cart u out of the hospital and your on your own. go to hospital to get xrays etc by yourself and check in with the doctor after.

Well thats the easy part. Question is, what happens if a non-union or some other calamity occurs. Your gonna need another surgery, usually your doc will be willing to perform this.

i would keep in contact with your surgery doctor just incase something like non union happen. you cant be left in the dark all the time. this is important part too and the doctor need to take some part of it.
