Hi! I wanted to discuss with you a very important topic in my opinion. The proportion when you are nked.
I talked with one doctor so far and he told me patients should not be worried about conspicuous disproportion after limb lengthening. Thats very rare. Nobody would see a obvious femur lengthening even when you wear shorts or trunks etc. but he also mentioned by the way that nked in full size the femur could look gigantic then. We talked about an extension of 8 cm which is of course no peanuts.  I had many other questions so we did not go into that topic more intensively but afterwards it made me thoughful. What do you think about that? And if you already had surgery whats your experience? I know every body is different but which proportion is still acceptable for our eyes and when does it start to look weird?

Thanks for your replies. So it seems that the problem is indeed not so big as I thought. Anyway, I always wanted to lengthen both femurs and tibias although some doctors say that its okay to lengthen only the femurs. Nevertheless, I want the proportions of longer femurs and longer  tibias to be right balanced and of course increase more heigh in total. During my consultation I met a guy who only had lengthened the femurs 7-8 cm and with clothes on, it looked quite normal, not conspicuous. He said to me he was happy and did not desire a tibias  lengthening. So I guess also nked it has to look acceptable for him. He also mentioned he did not want to spend more money for another surgery. But that was only one of two people I have ever met after such a surgery. Its not representative. The other guy lengthened all limbs and standing next to me he was quite tall now, ca. 185 cm. I was quite impressed, the only drawback his arms looked very short to me. I thought oh a human T-rex. Of course, I paid close attention to that, acutally. Maybe if you dont know the background it does not seem to be so noticeable for others.

Well the question is whether all of these patients are 100 % satisfied or dont want to undergo such a complicated procedure again. Tibias lengtheing is particularly even more complex.

Quote from: Purushrottam on July 15, 2018, 07:45:12 PMI did 6.5 cm femurs with Paley. The proportions are not obvious at all. Only people who know about LL would know, and thats a very small subset of the overall population.

so even nked its not a problem f.e. a new girlfriend would not notice it?

Quote from: Ruan c. silveira mendonça on July 30, 2018, 02:45:56 PM for people with arms up to the waist the final proportion with pernar longer can get strange even.
so take your measurements, do the calculations and take photos, edit the photos to get an idea of how the final proportion can be. Proportion when you are nked
what do you mean with "arms up to the waist"? arms which are above waist? I have never seen a person with arms so short that they barely reach waist? Maybe you mean the hip, waist is further above.

Sounds good. What is your armspan?

Yeah interesting pic. According internet the left guy's wingspan ist equal to his height. Right guy's wingspan is 20 cm longer than his height!!! Thats really rare!

My wingspan is same as my height. And lengthening 10cm would mean a -10cm Index. I guess there are also people which have auch a negative index by nature but I think thats also rare.
