It's impossible to get a good idea of proportions without a comparison to those with natural proportions which is why the Mahoubian and Buldu galleries are great. If you look through the pics in the link one key thing stands out. You go over your wingspan by enough cm and it looks very weird.
As this surgery gains more popularity best to keep this in mind as you can see in that gallery the LL look of way too short arms is very obvious in some patients while those with longer wingspan get away with it better.

Definately helps to avoid the awkward looking LL body that people who over lengthen can get. I didn't notice the short torso so much in those pictures because it can be more easily hidden with clothing but you can't hide short arms.
