Femurs = internals (can do upto 8cm, less pain, very expensive)
Tibias = externals (can do upto 6cm, more pain, less expensive)

Munchkin, ignore crass comments about covering up. IMO no more than 5cms on your tibias because your legs & body are already in proportion. Saying that, if you lengthened femurs you could wear heels. Who are you considering for lengthening?

I'd just like to apologise for going a bit over the top. I've been in a weird place lately.
I just want to say thank you all for being supportive, and for those coming back to apologise for comments made - it means a lot, and at the end of the day we're all here to support each other in what we're undergoing. Glad to know that we can all be on the same page.
I'm from the UK, and looking to get internal femurs up to 6cm. It'd bring me more in line with the country's average, and hopefully boost my self-confidence in my own height and make me feel better about my own body.
I haven't researched any clinic / surgeon / anyone for advice or guidance yet, though it is something I've been researching for around a year just to make sure I am sure with my decision. I'll be looking to get anything done within 4 or 5 years to get the money together, and make sure I go through enough counselling, meetings, and assessments to ensure it is the right course of action for me.
