I honestly feel that the only valid reasons to do CLL is if it has negative impacted jobs,, how others perceive you on a regular basis etc. Im hearing some ridiculous reason why people are doing CLL and to me it sounds like their pride is hurt more than anything. It is not worth it to spend all that money, and undergo a possibly dangerous procedure just to validate yourself as a human being . For goodness sake you are more much more than your height. If your height is all that you have to offer people..than your are a pretty crappy human being.

I'm assuming you're talking about the crazies we have here, who seem to think women will go from rejecting them to being all over them after a 3cm height increase, in which case I'd have to agree.

Otherwise, the same negative impact in the workplace that you mentioned also manifests itself in many other facets of life. That's called heightism. It's not exclusive to certain situations, and you can't beat it by willing it out of existence. It doesn't exist because of us: it exists because of many others around us. It's not exactly, and simply, wanting to "validate yourself" - some see this surgery as the only way to escape that negative bias (heightism) that has followed them throughout their lives. Why would they want to live with it? It's not every short person who can truly chalk up heightism to the futility of others around them and move on with their lives, without a care in the world. For others, it could be a matter of pride, but it'd still be their decision; ideally, they should be moderately aware of how much they're risking just for pride in those cases.

In parallel, I also agree this is a very dangerous surgery, and the risk-to-benefit ratio must be adequately gauged.

I agree. I just said that if people are doing CLL to escape heightism.. I can agree that CLL is a good option. But Im talking about like you said those crazy individuals who are at a decent height like around five feet eight or more and want to do CLL and I think that their problem is myre psychological than physical.

I'd argue if you're doing LL because of "heightism" you're also doing it for the wrong reasons you can't let peer pressure be the reason why you decide to get a procedure like this. You need to be okay with who you are for the most part then decide whether or not you're willing to take the risks. If you feel as though LL would improve your life and you just wanna be a bigger/taller person go for it. I'd avoid this procedure if someone is convinced it'll solve some deeper issues like depression or how others might view you especially if you've got a nasty attitude or even poor behavior.

I disagree. You cant fix a systemic issue overnight. It takes years, if not decades to fix social issues. Its eaiser to ''improve'' on yourself than try to convinc others to accept short height.  Heightism isnt getting better its getting worse.  Life is short so Im going to do CLL. And I am okay with who i am. But sometimes you have to play the game. And im going to play the game by doing CLL. Is heightism right? No its not. But i cant keep wasting my life away by trying to defeat a battle I can not win.

I'm just saying getting LL because of heightism isn't a good reason in itself. Honestly, I'd say it's okay to get LL at almost any height as long as if you're not doing it to fix some kind of a deeper issue. For example getting LL because of mogging or insecurities of one's alphaness would be pretty petty and short sighted. Hell, getting LL because you wanna get more pussy or maybe you're actually convinced the average height is 6'0 would also be a terrible reason.

What's your goal height?

I wasn't as crazy about height until I started hearing how tall some guys are in a group chat. There's this particular guy that I just dislike, after finding out that he's about 6ft tall, it just made me feel so inferior, jealous, less attractive and I guess beta. The fact that he also flirts with this one girl a lot that I also happen to like just made me feel complete garbage and basically got me obsessed with height ever since (1 year now).

Why would you feel inferior based on one single characteristic? Yea he may be tall but what if he was a coke head..or did meth..or had premature arthritis..would you still be inferior ?
