Im due to return home with my external frames on to the UK

have any of you returned home like this? I plan to get a UK orthopaedic doctor to remove the frames once the bones have consolidated.

Did any of you get frames removed in your home country?

Why are you getting them removed in another country?

Im going home. Theres no point lying here in a hospital bed waiting for my bones to consolidate for them to then simply remove the external frame which imo can be done at pretty much any orthopaedic clinic innthe UK. i also dontnwant to have to spend a fortune getting a ticket to fly back

You're 100% How about you call a few hospitals in the UK and ask if they're able to remove the nail? Unless you have already done that. I just would hate to travel back home and find out I have to travel back to get someone specialised to remove the nail aha

Yeah thats what i was thinking. Theres orthopaedic hospitals here and whilst they dont do lengthening i cant see how removing an extrrnal frame is going to be a problem. They are used here for tibia fractures
