I just found these photos from the set of Iron Man 2 where RDJ is wearing about 3-4 inch healed shoes and his proportions look normal!

It all depends on the arm span for example he could only be 5’8 and have a wingspan of 180 cm or something but even at that the arms still look long especially if the boots make him up to 5’11 you need to remember ppl on this forum said adding muscle helps making you look better and he had to bulk up quite a bit for Iron Man so that could be another reason overall I agree proportional’s look very good for him.

to think about the fact that people like tom cruise and robert downey jr wear elevator shoes instead doing CLL, surgery with ridicolous cost for them

As actors they do have a unique situation, however. The director isn't saying you're short, but rather your character should be a certain height. This can also change depending on your costars; sure, they can cast people according to desired height, but it's easier to cast strong actors and adjust their height with camera magic. For instance, here's Humphrey Bogart in Casablanca. Sometimes women are made taller as well, like Gillian Anderson from X-Files. Then there's Hugh Jackman (6'2") as Wolverine (5'3"), he's miscast on paper but he's great on screen. And let's not forget Tom Cruise.

They might not even have height dysmorphia, since as famous actors, they are showered with compliments, highly regarded, and are generously compensated. However, a struggling actor that is short may blame their height for not getting certain roles, as a director might not be able to look past their stature. If there are two equally talented actors, the director will likely choose the taller one.

Actors don't do LL because they are (I would say mostly) well-adjusted people. LL would be a choice too extreme for them.

LL need guts more than money. And also a strong belief that it will improve your life.
Robert Downey and Cruise have nothing to earn from LL. Before they started their carreers yes but not now, especially when they risk their functionality plus the bad publicity they'll gain (as being insecure).

So actors like them have nothing in common with the average man who wants to do LL and they would be stupid to do it, unless it would have been something so easy and safe kike boobjob.

Great point about looking insecure, image is everything. Hair transplants are still scrutinized even in Hollywood, so CLL would blow everyone's minds, starting all the way at the beginning with "they can do that??"

His arms look fine but his upper body looks really awkward. It kind of sucks that he's enforcing such an image however. Like what's wrong with Ironman being 5'10 like he is

Robert is not 5'10", he's said to be around 5'7" or 5'8".

Touched on this already above, but it's not that RDJ that decides he wants to be a certain height on screen. It's the director, who has an image in mind. Even manipulating height is part of the performance, as much as hair, wardrobe, and accents are.
