Guys, I just found some relatively upsetting statistics regarding ape index (wingspan/height)

It turns out there was a study done that found the average ratio to be 1.05-1.06 / 1 and the average ape index was ~+9CM

This is upsetting me and crushing my hopes and expectations a bit, especially cause my ratio is only 1.01/1. Sad news for proportion Nazis :(

Quote from: endomorphisme on March 16, 2015, 12:33:57 PMit doesn't matter il you exceed the average ratio by a little, btw how many centimeters are considering?

Ok, I'm an interesting case. I'm going to try glucosamine and inversion over the summer to attempt to hit 5' 10", in which case I well never worry about my height again.

If it doesn't work, I would consider CLL up to 5' 11", or roughly 5CM

In an overwhelming majority of the subjects (97.8%), the arm span exceeded height by a mean of 9.66 cm and 8.09 cm in male and female subjects respectively

*Gulp*

This seriously stinks

Quote from: KiloKAHN on March 16, 2015, 08:49:41 PMYou're not going to look weird with a wingspan equal to height or even minus a bit. A lot of people have wingspans just a few cm higher or shorter. Shorter arms are better for strength too. Not sure what the issue is.

I suppose you are right, but a wingspan only slightly below height would still look normal. Rocky Marciano (-3 inch ape index) looked very disproportionate to me

I was just shocked and upset that my ape index ratio wasn't that great.
