I don't get those giant guys who want a girl a foot or more shorter than them.  The idea is kind of that you'll be the physically dominant one in the relationship anyway.  I feel like a bigger man when I'm with a womany my size.  Acting all dominant over a 4'8 girl would make me feel pathetic.

Maybe they feel insecure about their own masculinity that they need a girl an entire foot shorter than them to compensate.

Me personally I don't want my partner being mistaken of being my daughter. Girls that are 5'4-5'7 are ideal for me.

Honestly, I don’t think it’s just tall men that prefer short women, I think it’s men in general. Unless they’re short men, then they seem to be obsessed with tall women. In our society, feminine is equated with small, dainty, and cute, which is the opposite of masculine. It’s half the reason women are always trying to be thinner, trying to be smaller to look more feminine.
Short girls are tighter and more subservient, look younger (fertile). Tall women seem independent and strong, not feminine. Men like to provide and protect. It is instinctive

I think it has something to do with the human genetic predisposition of thinking small things are cute.

Shorter women are the definition of femininity. I hate porn and I do not recommend ppl watch that garbage but most of these pornstars men lust after are shorter women(Sophie Dee, Lana Rhoades,etc)

I saw a commentator on Quora say men who like shorter women are “insecure” and that men do not have a height preference. This same user was on another thread obsessing over women who are 6′4″ and saying any shorter than that is not good for him.

Men preferring shorter women has nothing to do with insecurities. A man isn’t threatened by a woman to be “insecure” by her. Men simply do not want to be with someone who resembles them. Even the “attractive “ tall women resemble men in drag. Go ask travolta who confused a drag queen for Taylor swift. In one hand you say height doesnt matter then you say men are insecure for wanting shorter women. Men in general prefer shorter women and studies show this!

So women with traditionally feminine beautiful soft bodies feel the need to get “ripped”. Tall girls in the 1950s were given estrogen therapy to reduce/halt height since tallness was seen as ugly on a female

But my guess is they love the sheer adulation they get, when (if) they do:

Take a guy who’s 6′2′’. Compare the meh reaction of a girl who’s 6′0′’ herself, or even 5′8′’, vs the enthusiastic crawling-all-over-him reaction he gets from a girl who’s 5′2′’ or less. Some guys are going to go for that royal party.

And some guys just like to feel bigger, as it makes them feel more manly about themselves.
