Beeing 5'5 i'm short/very short I know. But this topic has got a point. There god I leave where i leave!!! In other words, I leave in the country of Europe where people are shorter. I've been to Germany and  the average there is easily 4 inches taller than in Portugal.

5'11 here is almost too tall and I even got a 6'4 friend who once complained that he hated his height. In addiction to that it is rare to see 5'8 womens around here.

Unfortuntely, the younger generation (the one that at I belong to) is getting taller. I'm planning on doing 2-3 inches femur and say goodbye to my height neurosis.

I actually really like living in europe in general and Sweden in particular so I think I'll stay but I would happily spend a few years in Kyoto, Singapore or Santiago de Chile.

Unfortunately people are tall in Sweden so my supposedly (slightly below) average height doesn't cut it to me but of course objectively moving to Asia might be smarter than breaking my bones and torturing my muscles.

Old thread, but better than starting a new one. If I was from the EU and seriously depressed about my height or having too intense of a height neurosis, I'd definitely move to Portugal, or at least spend the holidays there, if CLL is not an option. First world, great people, history, weather, and food.

If in Asia, I'd move to Japan, Taiwan or Singapore.

The options in the other continents aren't as good.
