Bro, if you feel good after 6cm and notice it’s getting harder definitely stop at now. 6cm is a lot, and people who tend to do 6cm and under not only recover faster, get on and enjoy life.
179cm is a perfect height, you know how brutal this surgery is, don’t risk it for the sake of people able to say I’m 181cm lol.
Anyways it’s your body, listen to your body.

nah dumb mentality. I’m going for the full 8 to get 182 for sure. I’ll listen to my body and slow down if I have to, but even at 79mm there’s 0 chance of me stopping. I don’t care if people will notice a 1mm difference.
I’m totally fine with settling for 0.25mm a day if god forbids but there’s no reason I’d have to stop 2 cm short of what my potential is.

You’re not doing this to cure your height dysphoria then, you’re just doing to be able to say you’re 6’0”.
Anyways your body, your choice. Your doctor does his job prescribing the pain medication, organising the necessary PT requirements and performing the surgery successfully.
If patients ignore listening to their body (and have to slow down lengthening, etc), should embrace you’ll be talking a few extra months of recovery and hardship, and for what extra 2cm? When you can reach 6cm almost issue free and recovery super quick!

'A few extra months' (let's say 3) for a 2cm gain is absolutely worth it. I'd cancel a year of my life no problem to be 8cm taller so sure I'd do 3 months/2cm which is probably about what we're looking at here.
And yes 2cm is noticeable and will make a difference before the usual suspects come in.
yeah wtf. i already went through the hardest part (surgery + 2 weeks after) and paid my $70k. Why tf would i stop short of 2 cm, if it means i have to take an extra 1 month of lengthening to slow down.
It's like you saying you studied really hard for the test, but since your burnt out after studying. youre only going to take half the test and let your brain rest for the other half. No bro, you went through the hardest part. you had a goal, now suck it up and get to your goal. Listening to the doctor/body means slowing down when necessary. Not giving up.
Well that’s fair, everyone’s different!
I just want more success stories from people where they recovered fully and on time. I’m a couple days after surgery and I feel good, but my goal still is 6cm.
