Hello team, been a while since I have posted.

Have any of you guys experienced side effects from the Stryde?

If so, what was the short term outcomes after rods were taken out? Did any of the deterioration fill in.

Thanks all - Fellow Journey man

So, as for myself I am curious if anyone who actually had the hypertophy, and lysis, healed when they were taken out. Did the hole fill in? etc?

Hey dude, I had the same thing, but left them in a year longer, so I received some of the symptoms. Doc has me walking on crutches for 6 weeks as a precaution after removal. I would setup an appt asap have them x rayed, and removed asap, just so you dont have to deal with the head ache.

If you find any info on my original question, would appreciate it. I cant seem to find anything.

Thank you for your reply BelowTheMean.

I guess I was not so lucky, I had a bit of both lysis and hyperthrophy. Doc is taking precaution with me post removal, and I am walking on crutches on 1 leg for 6 weeks. I guess I am curious if anyone else has had this experience, and what the prognosis looked like for them.

Thank you and happy you are doing well

I can tell you, I feel no pain at all with the rods out. Took me about 4 days to recovery from the surgical  wounds, but that is a cake walk. No longer feel screws, and feel way more flexible. Night and day difference. Surprised they dont speak more of this.

with that said, I was an unlucky one that got hit with a combo of hypetrophy (stronger bone), and lysis (weaker bone) at the juncture site.

Doctors orders are to walk on crutches  for six weeks on left left as a precaution. I appreciate the advise.

My advice is to take these out asap after you do not need them, why go through the hassle of the rods, and risks.

Any one had their taken out and had to deal with the stryde side effects? I think I may document my experience on my journal here, to help people out.

What I can say is, I feel no pain, and CAN WALK on my left leg, however using crutches for 6 weeks as a precaution.
