I had rusted nails. You can look up my username: marathonrunner ( I don't have access to the account ). Not sure if I posted pictures. But if you have stryde, get it out. You don't want rusted nail in your bone. For me at least it go to the point where it was super painful.
Does the bone just grow back once the rod is out?
I had the rust/ stryde side effects. Docs has me on crutches 6 weeks post removal.
tbh I don't know how the bone looks post removal. I only had xrays up until removal date. After that have not gotten xrays at all. I don't think I will get xrays unless I need to, my lower part of my body has been through so many x rays the past couple years.
Are the problems with stryde tibias due to the stryde nail itself or just the fact that since it is weight bearing -> people walk more with it-> get injured/osteolysis? Or is this totally wrong? How does it work?

Problem with Stryde appeared to be an aspect of materials used leading to eventual corrosion.
