dr birkholtz is doing this program where he swaps non weight bearing nails to weight bearing nails. but its going to cost 18k for the surgery. thats amazing news . its like having your frames remove but instead having another nail implanted. i wonder how that feels. this is pretty good and im going to look into it and why havent more doctors do this. so now u can skip 4 months and move around rather then be on a wheelchair. is that worth it? i think it is.

18k to just put some typical weight bearing nails that are used from all trauma doctors?
Ridiculous price. I would just wait for precise max which will cost even less.

yeah i was thinkin of precice max too. seem like the more logical idea. but doing this would save u 4 months of sitting on a wheel chair. thats worth it if precice max didnt come out.

Bad idea IMO, that's 3 surgeries if you include the eventual nail removal.

Wait to finish consolidating, more cost effective. Patience is all it takes, but if people have 18k to throw away why not i guess.

Kevin debiprasad already does this, but as everyone said it's not worth anymore since precice max is coming soon. Wait for few more months.
