The femur lengthing by Dr Becker
How much is the pain level? Is it better now than 3 months ago?
Hi everyone.
Having personally dealt with Dr Becker, I find this diary very hard to believe. It contains virtually no information on start measurements, nail size, health information or background, medicatiion and supposed changes by the team.
I have now had in person consultation, saw the clinic, saw the hospital, saw the rehab centre with patients. I have put down a deposit and my surgery is sceduled in April.
He was very honest about the fact that first two days are hell and full of regrets, he was also honest that they will not do epidural because that stops you from walking which is a MUST for the protocol. He showed me videos of people walking unsupported 2 hours after surgery and videos of people needing crutches and putting most weight on them, each represents around 10% of best and 10% of worst cases. Average height achieved for men is around 9 cm. You will go at 1mm per day(20 clicks) until 4-5cm to stop premature calcification. After 4 cm you will drop to 0.8-0.5mm per day. Nail clicks at 15 degrees which in theory is twice easier to do than G-Nail at 20 degrees. Full IT band release is included and has been standard for almost 2 years. All your accomodation, food, physio and medication is covered for 2 weeks at the thermal spa hotel/rehab centre. Then you are given 150 days supply of strong painkillers to take away which are tailored to your body based on blood test and experience in the two weeks. You are free to come back at any time for a checkup/x-Ray and physio and only need to cover your own accomodation and food.
OP
To be clear, he could not imagine anyone getting even a small ducks ass before 5 cm, 1.5cm in the first month is impossible as your bones would fuse. Your initial gap is 8mm, that would mean he did 0.025mm per day for the first month?!?!??! I asked him point blank, what would happen if my pain levels never decreased or there was an issue and he very honestly said that he would stop the process immediately as he is not interested in ruining his reputation and losing millions for my extra 5 cm and 60k.
I will write a more detailed journey diary when I go through the process.
Sorry I didn’t mean that Doctor Becker and his team are not good. They are good and doctor Becker is good at lengthing. He had good skills and he very friendly. Maybe my situation is different from others. I don’t know others. But I really think it’s very hard and it needs too much time to recover. I am afraid of pain I really want there’s no pain with my leg and I want to walk well soon. I don’t know how to delete this subject I want to delete it who can delete.
If you reaaly had this experience, do not delete anything. Your are entitled to share your journey.
There are a lot of people who went throught the process on this forum, they could have helped and advised you but you did not provide any real infomration or answer their questions.
Yes I want to get help but I don’t get help from here. What I need to share is l have finished the lengthing. I have bared too much too much pain and I think it needs at Least two years to become normal. Bad news. That why I want to delete it.
So whete did you stay during post recovery the entire time? Also who was doing your PT and what were thd charges? Also wondering is there a Whatsapp/ d ofesond social media groups for Betzbone patients?
There is an app that guides all your exercises and nutrition, you get a personal whats app chat with all the medical professionals and mostly get answers in 15 min. Therre is an unnofical group for people who meet at hotel and you get added when you actually turn up at breakfast. They provide 150 days of medication and supplements included. My surgery is next week. Doubt you will get any real info from OG.
Yuppy is alive or not? Did she make it? What was the final height?
