Some Hispanics in the USA will consider themselves White, even if they are clearly not.

If you're interested, take a look: https://www.pewresearch.org/hispanic/2021/11/04/measuring-the-racial-identity-of-latinos/

It's difficult to measure from self reporting. I'd take the White American numbers with a grain of salt.

I doubt there's many Hispanics here, being short is the norm and acceptable in Hispanic cultures

You may be right, but I'm curious why it wouldn't be the same for South Asians? Isn't the average male height the shortest in places like Cambodia and the Philippines?

Being short is acceptable in Hispanic cultures, really?
Being short is now even considered even worse than having a facial disfigurement in modern Chinese culture now lol.

China is nowadays extremely heightism and many chinese women here would rather date a 180cm clumsy slumdog than a 160cm smart cute millionaire.

Hispanic is not a race. Most Hispanics are a mix of Spanish and Native American. Some much more native and brown skinned, some much whiter. I’ve seen siblings where one looks completely white and the other dark skinned despite having the same parents.

It's a very complex and political subject. For example, "South Asian". Indians and Australian Aboriginals could be included in that, but they have a very different genetic makeup and ancestry. Is it fair to lump them into the same category? I think not. It can be difficult to categorize and determine who is in what group.

Let's just go by appearance and commonly referred terms. This isn't by academical definition

I look White, I can trace my heritage back to Europe mostly but I was born in Brazil, making me Latino, I guess.
I did a DNA test and I'm 95% European and 5% West African, because the Europeans here mixed with slaves, no native ancestry.
Maybe I'd be considered Black in the US.
