When did you get something close to full range of motion back?  I am about 10 months from surgery (internals, femurs) and my ROM limitations are still pretty significant.  My gait is totally clean and I can squat without someone noticing something is visibly wrong, but if someone were to ask me to touch my toes, other stretches, etc., they would instantly know that something is significantly off.  I am trying to figure out how much that is still likely to be the case a year from now.

For those of you who did restore full ROM, how frequently were you stretching once you regained your normal gait?

Based on measurements by a physical therapist before and after, I’ve already returned to my original ROM before consolidation is even finished.  This feels consistent with how I feel, as I was tight before and equally tight now.  I stretch a lot now, though.

Yeah definitely shouldn't have taken you this long to have your ROM back to pre-op, I like HobbitMan also gained it all if not most of it when I was almost done distracting.

Did you skip PT? I’ve regained full rom, although I was more flexible before surgery, but I have normal rom. If you didn’t really stretch or do PT during the process you don’t really condition your soft tissue to be able to do stuff like touching toes etc
