He can't run, proportionally is screwed for life, had to do arm lengthening to look normal, and will probably experience future problems.

Soooooo yeah...he's not in any shape a model figure to look up to..

Considering your lack of knowledge I doubt you'll ever do all 4 segments...if at all...

Well he did lengthen like 20cm, I'm only lengthening 15cm.
I have longer femurs and tibia bones than his.
I will never need to bother with AL because I literally have monkey arms. Anyway, I don't  really care much about proportions in the first place, as I said in my original post, I mainly care about height, I'm neither a model nor a celebrity.

You probably remember the tallest nba player right? Manute Bol? This guy got bad proportions, but I really wouldn't mind having the same proportions if I could be as tall as him.

Quote from: Cloudo on March 03, 2016, 12:04:23 AMWell, I kind of agree with you on sports, but i still think some athletes would do the surgery with a good doctor if they knew that the recovery will be %90-95.

As for the Netherlands average height, its 185 cm in most of the webpages/sources I found on the internet, here is an example:
http://www.averageheight.co/average-male-height-by-country

And believe me when I say 176cm is not good in Netherlands, I have been to Netherlands once, Wherever I went(Shopping mall, airport, etc...) I was one of the shortest if not the shortest guy in there.

As for your question, I am 26 years old, so I am not dependent on my parents anymore, I can do whatever I want. But even if I were to ask for their opinion on the surgery, I am sure %100 that all of family would be against it even if I was a dwarf, this is just how they think(accept your self etc...)

Are you Dutch ?
I've never been in Netherlands but what I know is that in Germany, Belgium and Scandinavia people are not so tall
It still amazes me what you say, because the country is filled with tourists - especially an airport -

No I'm not Dutch
It's true, I saw many tourists or maybe immigrants in Amsterdam, but I wasn't talking about these guys, When I said what I said in my previous post I excluded:
-Women
-Asians and Africans
-Old people(who looked 60+ years old)

He did 20,and you will ONLY lengthen 15 cm?Just 15?Come on its not worth it for 15 cm.Go something like 20-25.Break the record.
ROFL
Anyways get some information about this and you will want to do less.Im not blaming you, every person wants to do as much as possible when they first hear about this and with time they lower their goals.

Are you sure this is not a result of your height neurosis ?
And even if dutch guys are tall, it's not important. Dutch girls have a normal height and you don't live in this country
if old people of shorter, it's worst because the average is maybe more important for young

and about  15 cm, people try to scare you
do a first operation, but don't rush and choose a very good doctor
but i think 185 cm is a very good height, no ?

Quote from: Alittletooshort on March 03, 2016, 12:53:28 AMIt´s quit obvious that you don´t know much about this surgery, otherwise you would´t have a goal of 15cm´s. It will ruin your proportions, will cost you a lot of money and will destroy your ability to perform sports on a decent level. I dont´t want you to offend you but forget 15cm´s, it´s just unrealistic.
My goal is to become slightly above average, so I´ll do 4cm´s to become 183. I don´t think that it will improve my job chances or my sucess with girls (besides the tall girls), I  want to do it for myself mainly.

as for the height you put barriers everywhere
you think only 1 or 2 cm will make things more or less dangerous?
5-6 cm is safe with a good doc
about proportion you must of course talk to your doctor
and for sport, of course it's going to weaken you but with a good doctor I dont think it makes disabled
Betz don't care about recovery, he thinks about result only

Maybe I will become less optimistic about CLL, but I doubt that I will ever lower my goal. Actually 15cm is the minimum. originally I was planning to do like apo(20cm).

Yes I am sure it is not a result of my height neurosis, the dutch are really tall mate.

Thanks for your advice, but I doubt that I will stop at 185cm, I want to be at least 190cm.

It´s your choice but I don´t think you´ll ever reach 190, you´re just unrealsitic about your goals. A minimum of 15cm is an icredibly bad idea, everyone who has done LL will tell you that.
