why some much people look so much taller/shorter them they really are?

a good example is nelly (singer/rapper) he is 5'8,5 but i really taught he was 5'11/6'0. he really doesn't look small. he looks average,tall. how is this possible while 5'8 mark wahlberg looks very short? there are a lot of people who don't look like their height. thereis a famous dutch producer who is 5'10 and fat. in music videos he more looks like 5'6/7. then theres another famous dutch rapper who is also fat but he is 5'8. he really looks like 5'10/11. how is it possible that two people with the same height and the same body type look so different?

Leg length, torso length, clothing style, physical surroundings, people nearby, shoes, color of clothing, hair style, body weight, body type, posture, lying about height in the media, camera angles, your height neurosis...

Proportions. At 5'8 some look average and some look short. A big head gives you more height but makes you look shorter.

Height is all relative. Whether you are tall or short really depends on how tall the people around you are.

It's probably because your "small head" is almost as far from the ground as theirs

because eyes level and arms lengh
many of very tall people (basket players or giant) have a big head (because acromegaly) so they dont look that tall -

A small head can make your body look bigger and taller. Tall people tend to have small heads relative to their bodies.
