Hello, I wanted to ask whether you guys think I can do +8cm in femurs only? I'm 170cm (5'7) tall and 178 (5'10) is my goal (180cm would be too much for femur only) but I think I would be happy with 176cm (5'9) too.

Tell me what you think please

Generally speaking 8cm will be noticeable on anyone. Even if you started out relatively tall and had a very favourable tibia / ratio, let's say 85% at 40/47, then after 8cm you will be at 72.7%, which I think is over two standard deviations below the average. At that point only a small percentage of people will have the same ratio. Therefore proportions are definitely something to keep in mind when going for 8.

8cm is also firmly in the range where complications tend to occur more often and will likely have more of an impact on athletic ability.

All things considered, if you're happy with 176, go with that.

I agree if you’re happy with 6 I’d aim for 6. The thing is you can monitor and change your mind as you go right you can stop when you’re happy (or if it’s getting too painful, or time constraints) or could say actually let’s go for another cm.

Where do you live? I feel like getting to 176 (which is what I am now from 169) would hopefully get rid of the height dysphoria. Even though I’m not tall, I’m much happier to be average - that works for me, it’s also a personal consideration you have to think about. For me being average was my goal.

The way I thought of it as well was after 6 I feel things seem to get a bit more tricky. If you think about it, 0 to 6cm is a very large change, that extra 2 cm for me wasn’t worth it as I felt happy with where I had got to.

Your femurs would look fine, your arms look a bit short though.

in person and in real life, once you're clothed, nobody is going to notice/care if somebody happens to have longer than average femurs. I did 8 CM on Femurs and nobody takes a second look at my legs.

You're only showing pictures of how you look now, and not posting a mock-up picture of how you would look with longer thighs. Why not use software to alter your original pictures and make your thighs longer, then post both pictures for us to compare?
