I have some level of expertise in mathematical statistics and scientific method so understanding their experiment from methological point of view wouldn't be a problem to me, yet I know very little about biochemistry or about ways molecular pathways influence each other, otherwise I hope I could learn something new by reading it. Maybe it's just a journalist reporting hype, I hope it's not.

Hi TMBE
Please the other thread which is basically same as yours. Although stem cells for limb lengthening sound fancy and interesting, it is unlikely to happen in any near future.  It is not because of difficulty of stem cell usage for bone growth but because of technical limit for generating a proper gap for limb lengthening.

OK, but in this case we’re talking about stem cells that lengthen bones without needing to break the bones and create any gap. TheMagicalBlueEye please let us know if you discover something new. If this could come true, it would be a huge breakthrough.

This article seems important too: https://www.regenexx.com/blog/skeletal-stem-cells-found-living-in-the-growth-plates-may-one-day-make-us-taller/
“this new discovery could both add another tool for regenerative medicine specialists to use to help heal orthopedic damage and new ways to solve short stature”.
We need some guinea pigs and investors here.
