As the title says,
I'm a 28yo, living, or rather suffering with a very tall body. While I've been the butt of jokes at times as a teen, I mostly hate standing out and being noticed by everyone walking by, I really hate it.
Please don't start telling me I should be more confident in myself or enjoy it, because I don't see flaunting my body as a sign of power, I just wanna live normally with my husband.
I've found only one inconclusive thread here, as I've seen doctors practicing this might be a rare occurrence, but still...if you can lead me to something more focused on the cons and risks of this, please help a sister out.
Quote from: overandover on January 04, 2024, 08:00:28 PMJust move to a tall country. There are a lot of super-tall women in western European countries you'll fit right in.
Moving to a new country and leave everyone you know isn't a choice you do on a whim.
Quote from: lovinglonglegs on January 07, 2024, 07:09:45 PMmany tall girls i've seen found confidence after 30. Your age is still a bit younger for spiritual maturity. plus, i think you will get bad proportion if you go for height reduction. i recommend you to wait just a little more time
I don't believe 28 is young. I was much more confident when I was 22.
This is just my last resort.
Quote from: dark_gumbi on January 09, 2024, 11:07:23 AMagreed. making your legs shorter will lower your attractiveness as a girl. If you were to shorten anything only the torso would make sense.
I don't need to become a cute little 5'2 girl. But being eye level with my man would be reasonable. He's 5'9.
I'm not sold 100% on this, but sadly not much to read about.
Quote from: Kintaeryos on January 13, 2024, 05:52:06 PMWhat does he think about this?
I didn't yet.
I casually mentioned limb lengthening one day and described it to him like a fun fact, he laughed and said it's for insane
people.
So I assume he'd have a worse reaction when it's about me.
Well he's obviously attracted to me, or we wouldn't be married. đ
My research is because of my own issues(sad af), not because of love.

Lol of course he is attracted you. I meant that you don't want him to become less attracted to you if you shorten your legs by 5 centimeters
I don't think height itself will change his attraction anyway, the will to do an aesthetic surgery might make him mad...I guess it's a talk for another time
Quote from: Temoc on January 16, 2024, 05:51:38 PMI wonder what happens with the soft tissue? When you lengthen it gets stretched but eventually grows in size. When you shorten it will your legs look thicker, maybe look a bit flaccid like a deflated balloon?
That may be a consideration if aesthetics are your primary reason.
It's also been on my mind...but assuming it it's quadrilateral, it'll be minimal and not a big deal.
Quoteone day you will also meet a tall guy, and finally form a family. I know it must be very difficult to find guys taller than you (it depends on where you live) but I think the best thing is to take advantage of your height and train hard, your body will be perfect and maybe you'll get it out of your head, maybe
I don't consider myself ugly nor this is supposed to make me attract more men, I wouldn't change my husband for anything.
I want to blend in with the rest and look okay, that's my goal.
Quote from: Body Builder on January 17, 2024, 10:37:30 PMHow tall are you and how much do you want to shorten?
I'm 184cm, or a bit under 6'1".
And I want to be at least 178cm. Or 5'10.
