As the title says,

I'm a 28yo, living, or rather suffering with a very tall body. While I've been the butt of jokes at times as a teen, I mostly hate standing out and being noticed by everyone walking by, I really hate it.
Please don't start telling me I should be more confident in myself or enjoy it, because I don't see flaunting my body as a sign of power, I just wanna live normally with my husband.

I've found only one inconclusive thread here, as I've seen doctors practicing this might be a rare occurrence, but still...if you can lead me to something more focused on the cons and risks of this, please help a sister out.

I'm not quite sure if someone here has some experiencie on this topic, as far as I know this procedure it's only possible for correcting limb discrepancy and not for cosmetic reasons.

I think I read somewhere about a girl who did something similar but I can't remember. My suggestion would be: contact a reputable Dr and ask them. That would be a far better option for your research.

Just move to a tall country. There are a lot of super-tall women in western European countries you'll fit right in.

The Paley Institute will do this.  I actually met someone while I was there who had this exact procedure done.

Moving to a new country and leave everyone you know isn't a choice you do on a whim.

Hi hope all is well.

Dr. Giotikas (Athens BJR in Greece) did such a shortening procedure for a woman while I was in Greece. From what I could tell, it was a relatively simple procedure.

What country are you and your husband based out of?

For what it's worth, I think tall women are very beautiful. Many men I know also feel this way. So there is a chance that some of the people who stare at you on the street are looking at you because they find you attractive.

My ex- girlfriend in Germany was 185 cm and my current gf is 180 cm. She loves wearing high heels and I think she looks amazing when she does Woman considering limb shortening

But with that said, I completely understand why you would consider this procedure as I have met several tall women that also expressed the feelings you describe.

Anyways best of luck in your journey, feel free to PM me on here if you wish.

many tall girls i've seen found confidence after 30. Your age is still a bit younger for spiritual maturity. plus, i think you will get bad proportion if you go for height reduction. i recommend you to wait just a little more time

I don't believe 28 is young. I was much more confident when I was 22.
This is just my last resort.

Better to consult a doctor if you really want to do it. I'd suggest booking a consultation with Dr. Paley if you are in the US. Otherwise, People can recommend doctors based on the location where you want to get this done. Avoid countries like turkey at all cost it's either US or some places in the EU or korea.

Long legs are hot, dont do this. As a guy that has been with multiple taller girls, it is not worth it, i wouldnt want my girl to go through this painful surgery only for a few cms...
