I think one of us might be doing something wrong becuase my dad is 187CM and his arms are 78CM long and they look perfectly normal -I even guessed them at 80CM.

I would argue your trade off isnt enough.

How about 170cm with a 174 wingspan or 183 with the 174 wingspan.

I would choose the 183 and see if I got comments . If so get the arm lengthening.

For example, I am 170.5cm tall and my 'wingspan' is 175. I have heard that 10cm too short is good enough because its only 5cm each side. Unless we walk around with our arms straight out nobody should really notice how short your arms are.

So I am gunning for 185 but will settle for 183 if the doc wont allow more than 6cm on each segment. Either way I feel ok.

I am ok with 182-183 height and a 170 wingspan.

But if I get comments, I might consider 178 wingspan (4 cm on each arm)
