Most likely they won't bend but it all depends on how is your consolidation too

Yeah good point, maybe its safer to wait with walking long walks without aid until i have seen my x-rays. When my x-rays start showing good bone consolidation then both the bone and the pins will hold my weight, so with that combined it should not be able to bend.
On the other side... if you don't put full weight on legs you consolidation will just take longer. So if that doesn't bother then fine I guess. But for the very little amount of lengthening u did. It shouldn't be so bad))

Yup, that's why I think you're luckier than me
Your body could really handle gain of 14-15cm without make you being out of proportion , you done 9cm.. so you still can do 5 more
off course this is just my opinion
I agree you could easily do 5 cm
Yes I dream of that. But right now I need to recover, this possibility looks very far away, I have very tight muscles and I struggle with walking. If one day I recover and I get the money I will do it. I spoke to my friend and we will do it together if we do it. It would be amazing to do it together!!)) Internal with a doctor in the US, he already met him and he said it's all good. Maybe one day!?)) I need to recover but I see very little progress. Some days I feel I get worse. Once im back I will be swimming very often.

damn.. yeah youre right.. but maybe since i have so many pins they are enough on their own to handle my full body weight for long walks, this week i tried to stand for long periods without aid so hopefully the pin bending is already at its maximum..
I want to be done as soon as possible and like you showed us, walking a lot increases consolidation a LOT, il have to do the same!
Quote from: Claude on April 30, 2014, 08:57:08 PMYes of course, but whatever you do, you already acomplished something quite amazing -) because lengthening 9 cm on the tibia is a lot. You will probably recover in around a year/ a year and a half. Swimming is the best sport. Good recovery.
Yes absolutely!))

Yes walk don't be afraid!!! You will not lose height. That's only fear talking, ive been there trust me!! Your pins will not bend if you are not lengthening!! They might break that's all. But u have so many pins. So you really don't needall of them lol so start walking. RRunning jumping...squatting etc!!)) Take advantage of the privilege of having Ilizarov, which is the allowance of full weight loading on your legs!!)) There are pros and cons with every device and this my friend is a big pro of Ilizarov frames))
