I thought Dr. Paley said that about 6.5-7.5 cm were the max for the tibias (and 8 cm for the femur). Is he right? What do the vets think about this?

Quote from: ForcedPuberty on January 05, 2015, 04:30:29 AMI personally think the max safe limit is 6cm for tibia.

and the best method for tibia is external monorail that is weight bearing. (even Paley agrees with this)

as for femur, external has a max limit of 5cm.

for internal femur supposedly you can lengthen more but I don't know.

Paley said that monorails were better for the tibias? Do you have a link?

I don't plan on lengthening my femurs externally. Paley said that 8 cm is a good limit for the femurs internally.
