Elsewhere is always better and then when you come there you regret it. Where do you live by the way ? Me in France and its pretty good but we french can get really annoying (it's not a myth).

Quote from: Claude on May 10, 2014, 08:31:32 PMIs anyone thinking about living in asia here ?

Yes, Hong Kong.

Incredibly diverse and rich culture. Endless and evolving entertainment. Cost of living is reasonable. Wages are very high. Capitalist capital of the planet. 16% corporate tax (I own a business). 0% VAT tax. 0-15% income tax.

The place is the holy grail of upward mobility and opportunity. I have actually considered renouncing my U.S. citizenship to move and live there. They have a passport with universal privileges almost identical to that of the U.S. anyway. But why renounce? Because, as a U.S. Citizen, no matter where you live in the world or where you work, you still have to pay U.S. taxes on those earnings. It's pretty effed up and I don't like promoting senseless conflicts or lazy minorities and potheads with my hard earned dollar. Renounce that sh*t Jet Li style if you have big plans. I guess I could try hiding money in offshore accounts when it gets to that stage, but I rather not risk that or deal with that.
