I was wondering has anyone delved deeper into this?

We all know that rough stimulation of skin will cause it to become thicker and form calluses. That is why the guys who work at carpentry, metallurgy and do other rough work with hands have thick skin on their hands, thick fingers. Now, what if we somehow kept stimulating skin on feet to form calluses and really thicken up skin? Theoretically this could give us a little bit of additional height, no?

Hmm, maybe.. One also gets calluses by doing chin ups or lifting at the gym, overtime these calluses go so it would be temporary and the height increase wouldn't be noticeable.

Having rough feet is a great quality for survival as you can survive in certain living conditions without shoes and without having to worry as much about the bottom of your feet. The amount they'd increase your height is virtually zero though. As even a MM of added roughness is worlds of difference in performance and survival. It's about all you need as there are no nerves in there as well so you can walk on surfaces that are even fairly rough and you'd be fine.

However aesthetically it's quite gross.
