I have narrowed down to these two surgeons to go to for LL.

Please help me reach a decision. Will be going to either one of them in 1-2 years.

I don't see the difficult decision in choosing between Italy and India.

If you can pay to go to Italy then go there.

There's no doubt you will be getting a grade A surgeon with Dr Parihar. Dr Pili seems to have a good track record, too. The difference really comes down to whether or not you'd find it worthwhile to spend at least an additional $8,000 with Pili simply for the benefit of being in a nicer looking hospital for 10 days tops. That's important for some people, but many did just fine with the level of cleanliness in the Beijing clinic, and according to at least 1 former Beijing patient, Dr Parihar's patient ward looks on par with what they had, and his hospital's bathrooms are certainly better

Thanks man. I know Dr. Parihar is one of the best, if not the best ll surgeon in the world. I've seen him take care of some very very gruesome injuries on his site and is recommended by Dr. Paley as well. And he doesn't promote the surgery at all

I am also Indian. So there will be no communication issue with nurses, etc as well.

The only downside to Parihar is the hospital imo. Thats the only thing I am worried about.

What exactly are you worried about though as far as his hospital is concerned?

Mirin is probably worried about the lack of luxury since in that one diary (forgot the name) but the user posted pictures and it didn't look promising or secure. It was a small hospital and a bit run down. Not that it takes away from Dr. Parihar's knowledge cause I'd feel secure to be operated on by him but personally to me it makes me feel paranoid deep inside. I'd still let parihar perform on me but thats probably what mirin means.

Not just a better hospital but you would be using HEF. But again you might have to do ATL with him(but, people who have done under him, have no complaints). Plus I feel you could lengthen more under Pili after ATL.
