Yes these height study's irritate me as most are self reported,i once knew a guy who claimed he was 5'10 when in reality he was a strong 5'7 at best.I pretty nuch agree with your chart but 191cm is 6'3 not 6'5 as you eluded to as dysfunctional, and i wouldn't say 6'0 is tall just because to an average 5'10 guy like myself, the guy wouldn't tower over me,he would reasonably taller if you know what i mean, hence my short tall classification. How tall are you and where are you from may i ask?

fixed   above   6' 4''  impractical tall

my height is  5' 8.5' (174cm) out of bed,  though the day around 171 cm,  after a very long and phisical active day 170.3 cm or 5' 7''

I am from mexico, yes avg height  is around 176 cm in the cities, mexico is very diverse, in the south the population is mostly of native american descent or even flood blooded (aprox 10% total population), west and north  the genotype is of course mixed aprox 70% european 30% native

Wow i'm surprised the mexican average is 5'9 as Mexicans are stereotypically short, that's a damn shame you shrink so much,do you have back issues?I'm 179cm out of bed but only shrink to 177.8cm after a long run,you should try glucosamine and hanging upside down 2 or 3 times a day for 15 minutes,i'd guess you'd get a half inch gain for sure.

3 cm are way too much to shrink during the day. Up to 2cm is normal but 3-3.5 cm are not. Maybe you measure yourself wrong.

Also, 1.76 for Mexico sounds like a joke. Thats almost the average height of USA where the average mexican is 1.71 max. On Mexico where people are poor the average can't be more than that if Mexicans on USA.
So, even on cities I can't believe that the average Mexican is more than 1.72.

I agree with your height chart though.

This chart doesn't make sense at all
It depends on countries
If we are considering only the new generations,in Europe:
5.9 is almost average,a little bit undersized
5.10 is average
5.11 is above average
6ft and major is what is defined tall
So from 5.11 to up height is a benefit, under 5.9 it starts becoming a problem,5.10 is neutral
I'm considering only the new generations,I don't care if old people have a shorter average height

My chart doesn't make sense? You're not making any sense how is 5'10 neutral but 6'0 is tall,my point is 2 inches is substantial, but not average to tall kind of difference.

Yes it is,2 inches are a big difference in that range of height
A legit 6ft is noticeable taller than a legit 5.10
Since you are 5.10,with one LL you could become tall
Forget about breaking your legs for 3cm,it doesn't worth it
This site, due to some people that lengthened insame ammounts with bad doctors and crappy nails, has become way too conservative
For all this guys wanting 2/3 cms, wear lifts
Any target below 2 inches for LL is a joke

i can no agree more 2 inches or 5 cm is big difference, think of it this way, 90% of men heights are between 5' 4''  and 6' 0'' , so 8 inches gap,  2 inches is 25% of said range, so yes it's very significant

4 cm imo is a good goal in tibias, especially if LL femur is also performed

have it say than maybe the optimal cost-effective would be 5 cm (tibias), this is in general, each physiology is a little different, there will be those who can lengthen safely more (6cm) or less (4cm)
