Yesterday was a new low for me, I measured myself 175cm from 177.5cm, Making my lowest height 5'9 not 5'10. My height neurosis is back with full force... But the weird thing is that my sitting height was 93.5cm. My WS remains the same 192cm (194cm, If i stretch)
How could my height vary so much?
This makes me rethink my proportions and go for something insane, Like 4.25cm in each segment. Although my tibia is longer than my femur, There is no need to disturb my biomechanics.
How could i hit a new high on sitting height and a new low on overall height at the same time???
Btw, Does demispan work for you? Because mine seems to be broken, It said 196.4cm (impossible)
How much does you'r height vary between the day?
Strengthening your lower back and abs will help you minimize height loss throughout the day. It can be up to a full inch for people but my height loss is typically in the 1.5 cm range.
my height loss is 1.8 cm, i'm 184.1 cm when i wake up, and 182.3 at night.
I don't think it's possible to minimize this loss, you can do daily stretching, it may help a little, but don't expect being your current morning height at night.
I was dumbfounded too when i knew i was not 184 cm, but on another side, it explained why i don't feel really tall, that's why you should go with your evening measurement, because most people are measured in the afternoon or in the evening. You're 177.5 cm for a short period of time
Quoteyou should go with your evening measurement
I think you should just take the average.
if your 198cm start(of the day) and 196cm finish(of the day). then you are average 197.
you guys need to stop working mentally with theoretical maximums to engage in self pity.
Its weird honestly. When i was at my tallest in the mornings i used too have no height neurosis because i felt light and just made it even though it maybe was only a 3 cm gain. And with shoes i felt ok/great walking out. Hell even at friends house they did not tower over me i still remember that week it had been long since i felt like i did that week. No self esteem issues.
But then i drop 3-4 cm within 2 hours of sitting. And im back to mega height neurosis and cursing god for seriously fking with me, with this constant flux of height difference.
It's 3/4 of an inch for me however, it's usually 1/2 an inch unless I'm extremely tired so it may just me losing a fraction due to not being able to stay up straight.

3-4 cm is alot maybe try taking some glucosamine with stretches and build some core muscles that should help.
normal is 1-2cm. 1 inch at máximum. more is really extrange
I start my day at 170 cm mid day 169 by the end of the night 168 or 167.5
1 cm or less
