in some, like in Asia or South America it might be higher
today internet disconnected us about what is tall by popularizing crazy ideas. But at 6'2 you are tall if not very tall. And above 6'7 (well, even less like 6'5/6) you will enter in the "giant category", making every people look at you in the street even in the tallest average countries
people who claim the contrary are just disconnected

totally agree with you, I have been working with 2 guys 1 was 6 ft 3 and another was 6 ft 6, and the last one was very tall, even in comparance to 6 ft 3 guy

I forgot how disconnected this thread was from reality. The worst part is that some people are shorter than me (AFAIK) and they think start of "tall" is way above where I'd put it.

If you're above 6'3 6'4 that means you are getting to giant height.
Only 3.2% of men in America are 6ft 2, I'm sure less than 1% are 6'3!
Your standards are you have to be a freak

It all depends on a your motivation and other factors. Generally for a well rounded individual sweet spot of height is between 178-185, depending upon where you are in the world. For example in Asia and southern Europe 178 is perfectly Average/tallish height so 178-180 is good enough and wont hold you back, however in certain scandinavian and Daneric alps probably one can aim for 181+.

IMO those who are aiming  to go above and beyond these numbers generally has other insecurities and  personality issues and they somehow believe that by growing TALL will compensate for those deficiencies How tall is 6'1 / 6'2 185-188 to you?. Unfortunately it doesn't works like that in real life.

PS: Off topic but does anyone knows how to start a new topic as i cannot seems to find this button anywhere?

Just to put things into perspective, i come across a study done on a dating app and some of its latest findings which points to the 'motivation'; A horny bit** who is just looking to get laid in a club will ofcourse just look for a chad but a a sassy smart woman does not gives so much importance to height only. Dont get me wrong height is a factor but its not the be all and end all as some would here make it out to be.

I understand any such studies does not presents the whole demographics but it does nonetheless provides some valuable insight into latest trends and behaviours.

My suggestion is guys: don't do this surgery to get girls. I don't think much will change for you if you are >165, if you are 150 ok that's a bit of a problem but if you are reasonably short (165-175) that's not the main problem. Most girls are around 160/165 even in countries where average height is pretty high. If you are as tall as a girl or slightly shorter you can get her.

I am short and I got approached quite a lot in bars/clubs, at least once or twice every time I go out, yet of course if I was tall I would surely be approached 5 times more. But the difference here is not 0 to 100, this is a difference from 2 to 10, which means that with 2 is still possible, you just need to play it well, and go out a lot.

Honestly I don't think short stature is the problem to get girls, of course is more difficult but yet is possible (even with very attractive, slightly taller than you ladies), thing is: taller is way easier, and most importantly YOU feel better, which reflects as a boost in your confidence as well.

There are some limits of course, someone 165 needs a miracle to get a girl 180 for a relationship, the difference is huge. But beside these limits all the rest is possible.

If you are 165cm and NO ONE approach you and you CANNOT get a girl (not a fking supermodel, I'm talking about a decent to very good looking girl, 6,7,8) getting 178 won't change much in my opinion, the problem is somewhere else: a) you don't take care of yourself, b) you're face is really ugly, at this point might be a better option to get a nose-job, or c) you look creepy and not confident at all and they won't approach.

I seriously think some of you have problems, like people who ask if 190 is tall enough, man, you have a problem. Clearly not your height.

Quote from: Bigdawg on July 02, 2019, 01:32:41 PMIm 186 in the evening and I still felt tall when I visited Germany I even went to the tallest city which is hamburg . I doubt you are actually 185 barefoot in the evening if you feel short in Germany, I think youre more like 182 but claim 185

When I was 19 I was measured by the German army and had 185. Measuring now many years later I have 185 evening height and mornings 186,5. Still dont feel tall enough. When I wear high shoes with inlays I feel kind of tall.
