I'm sorry, I don't know where else to ask this.. just sharing.
I'm scared less of needles to the point I'm far more worried about it than the pain LL comes with, or not walking. When I get an injury, my first thought is "god, hope I don't get an injection for this!" I can't see a video of someone taking an injection without slouching down like a bitch in my seat and covering my eyes. Taking a blood test would be one of the biggest challenges of my life, since I've never even taken one.
I'm not going to "not" do LL because of this, because needles will come around in life now and then anyway. The right thing to do would be to get over this fear..but how? I've had it for life.
I'm in same position wth you Peng. I think sharing is the best and waiting is quite good because when you wait you start asking yourself why ı m waiting Am ı a pussy? Ofc no and than you will be ready
A lot of people are scared of needles, even if the sensation lasts half second or less. To kids who need a blood test, we use the story "this is not a needle, just a mosquito. Have you ever drunk Coke? If yes, this mosquito will take Coke from your arm".
To older patients we suggest to be relaxed and talk...talk about sports, football, gossip when you get an injection... No silence...And when you have to take blood test don't look at the needle, stay long and have sugar with you. It helps.
Try to think about something you like, it seems obvious, but it works
Hmm I don't really mind needles, there are worst things in life than a fraction of a second sting.
When I give blood I look straight at it, maybe you could start by giving blood to get use to it.

Rationally I understand a needle is harmless, necessary and good for you but my fear isn't rational.
I would pass out before I could donate a few drops of blood. I've never passed out from an injection but donating blood..I got uneasy just thinking of it.
Maybe watch videos online on how they do it or visit a blood bank? Get familiar then try, look elsewhere at first.

The former creeps me out, the latter would make me pale and queasy.. and neither would help.
I'll look for a psychotherapist.
I'm probably not much help... I love needles. I love watching the tip sink into my arm and the sanguine fluid being siphoned out of vein.
good luck if you have to get spinal anesthesia for your surgery
