Hi everyone,
I am new to forums so I don't know if i am posting this correctly or if there is any rules to topics and such. let me know.

I am really really committed to doing LL, I wanted to go from 5'0 to 5'3 and I am very short on my lower leg compared to upper thighs. my legs are generally shorter compared to my torso. I really want to go to Russia as well, I am learning the language and such. I wouldn't be able to do LL for another two years but I want to prepare everything before!! please recommend and give me any information that would help in terms of methods, cost, time commitment, scarring and safety and some information on visa but i should be able to figure something out for that, I think. Thank you very much!!

A gain of 3 inches is possible, but is generally not recommended to do on the tibias (lower legs) only. The best solution for 3 inches would be either the femurs or a combination of tibias and femurs.

3" is okay, but most people would advice you to avoid it

why is it not recommended to do 3" on the tibia? What are the complications? Thank you for responding !  I am 5' and i want to be 5'3. is this possible?

3" is about 10cm isn't it? Is it a hard goal to achieve for the tibia? Thanks!

7,5cm*

Yes it is, going past 5cm for most people is pretty hard and amount of complications increase drastically

Hey cookie,

Can you show us a picture or x-rays of your legs in which we can see your proportions?
What are your measurements and are you male or female?
Can you reach the floor with the palms of your hands while standing?

The biggest problem with much lengthening in tibias is bf.
Achilles tendon can't stretch enough and you'll probably end up walking on toes. But still up to 7.5 cm most of the times with hard work and pt you manage to fix bf.

Imo don't go over 6-6.5 cm in tibias or do femurs but not more than 8cm either.

Guys, please don't give numbers just like that without knowing his/her gender, measurements and proportions.
At 5' body height, 5-7.5cm can easily be like 10 or more centimeters percentage-wise.
This is careless.

Most men who do LL are between 5.3 and 5.7.
If someone is less than that (very rare) then ok, you are right. But still most of men could handle about 6cm on tibias without much problems.
